Hello, I have created a script that will make your enemies smarter! So far, I have 2 scripts that work together. If any of you would like to Alpha test, just unzip the files to your scriptbank directory (FPS CreatorFilesScriptbank). So far, the enemy, when spawned (best use a trigger zone to spawn him), will wait a little bit. He also checks around him for better weapons, and if found, he will pick them up. If he hears you, he will look at the place the sound came from, and after deciding, will walk over to check it out. If he finds you, he will begin shooting. If you shoot him before all of this, he will shoot back (duh). Also, when his health gets low, he will coward away. A documentary is included in the Enemy_Main.fpi script. A README is included to help you get started.

I am open for suggestions on what else you want the enemy to do, I can make a custom script for you as well. Almost forgot, this script is free for commercial and non-commercial use.

One more thing, I would like a spot in credits or whatever in your game as Character AI Scripting. It's not needed. If you make a game with my character AI, I would like to hear about it!

One thing though, make sure the gun is either on the ground or floating, cus if it's on a desk the NPC will just keep walking and walking... stuck at the desk. Put it on the ground.

alright man. i have tested this, here are the results

with the enemy main as the only script in use as main
nothing happens. he just looks at you if you shoot him.

with the eneym main script in main, and snipe in shoot
he only shoots if you shoot him, he does not move. he does not run.

with enemy main in main, snipe in shoot, and baddy spawned with a zone,
he shoots when shot, he does not investigate, he only strafes when shot.

with enemy main in main, snipe as shoot, spawned with zone, and a good gun set in front, he
same reaction as before, but this time he ran towards the gun, but didnt pick it up.

last test, enemy main as main, lowhealth set as shoot, spawned with zone, good weapon infront.
didnt run, shoot, or investigate, but he was at weapon location.

Yeah but it doesnt work the least bit. He just stands there... except for the if noise heard thing.. that works great! You can reload, and in a few seconds he will come over to where he heard the sound!

I gave his AI main the script and put chase for the shoot script. I walk round the corner to see how my test dummies doing and I see that all the weapons are gone. he's standing perfectly still. I approach him and after walking right in front of him and shooting him, he finally takes heed and shoots back. All is well. for about half a second.

His animations go haphazard, he goes stationary again and I do the same thing. When it comes to reloading, he does it at about a hundredth the speed. In short, it needs work. But kudos for trying.

EDIT: Turns out there's some sort of problem with FPSC. so disregard what I said.

I know I keep changing my signature, so what?
