Hostages Hey?
Well it depends what you mean. If your talking about wrestling people to the floor and than stashing them away somewhere, that would be nigh on impossible. To be honest, FPSC isn't quite that advanced yet, although I'm sure someone could come up with a system of sorts.

<insert pun here> Yes! I Got one.

I mean hostages as holding people infront of you so they get hit not you.

you'd have to change the FPSC biped for all the characters so there was another animation, to make it look good that is. For the hostage script, i'm not sure exactly but try to learn some scripting first, i see you're new here. Maybe if you used the condition 'if the player has a better weapon'(not the actual condition), then the character animation could kick in, just a thought

so what's the job?

It is possible, but they would not run around if you "free'd them".They would just hide if you made them smart enough.

And 40 million other games. What's your point AI?

As of right now, FPSC could not do hostages. It is going to be a LONG time before the game creators update FPSC for game play factor.

Not possible, you can't pick up a player, unless you just use the mesh as a dynamic object; (e.g. like a box) then you can pick him up, but it will look soooo fake.

it might be possible to set somthing up so a civillian is being held infront of a zombie - if you could be bothered to animate them to being interlocked and script it - but that is them taking hostages - not you...
