go immediately after the rave, its what I'd do. There's nothing quite like that feeling that you're somehow ruining society by your mere presence.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

Why do they always have these things in London? Its soooo difficult to get to anywhere in London if you don't already live/work there. Parking is usually a nightmare and trains are just not reliable, too restrictive to set times and often cost more than driving there. Somewhere more central would be much more appealing. Gripe over.

SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT IF YOU WISH TO GO. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

just been, £8.50 (adult) will give you 90mins of gaming action there. you get a free pass to play the ps3 or wii (ask at till for pass)

the pass for wii/ps3 is only for 5mins, just enough to get the feel of the console. within 5 mins i managed to go from lose to win in wiisports tennis.

you need to spend maybe 15mins at least wandering about reading stuff. there's some good artwork there.

main wall when walking in gives you a snake like timeline of the history.

i've got a few pics, yes you can take pics in there.

1 tiny snag, they relied on pc emulators for some consoles, maybe they werent allowed to let you touch the original, some are locked up for display.

handheld consoles are playable gba/ds/psp and a cabinet of all handheld consoles out. (shame no gp32 or gp2x there)

heck they even had the text game of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, "help" refered me to the manual which was no help!

there's some good stuff about grand theft auto there.

I went to this a few years ago. I thought it was excellent and has lots of great info and obviously some excellent games to play. I bet it's even better now.

I escorted my brother to an interview in London yesterday and thought while i was in the city it might be a good idea to check the exhibition out.

We got in at about 2:00pm and had 1 hour 30 mins to play as much as we could. It was really cool, i had this vibe of nostalgia throughout the whole exhibition. It was like a huge arcade featuring important and popular games from the industries history; past and present. They had pong, street fighter (1 and 2), prince of persia, pro evolution soccer, madden nfl, halo (multiplayer), final fantasy VI, Dragonball Z, Tony Hawk's pro skater, Goldeneye, etc... the list just goes on.

We couldn't try out Wii Sports and PS3's motorstorm 'cus the waiting time was way too long but we could see them in action and Motorstom in particular looked great (graphics-wise). Like lagmaster said there was some good art, info and design charts on games like Max Payne and GTA. They even had the original Max Payne clothes set on display; the leather jacket, hawaiian shirt, pendant etc worn by the actor for the comic-scenes and used to create the texture for max in-game. It was in some see-through plastic cabinet.

I was on a serious losing spree, got my behind handed to me in Street Fighter II (and i thought i was pretty good! , it was a tough match but someone had to loose) and some little kid beat me 3 - Nil in Pro evolution soccer 5! Oh well, it's been a while and i'm rusty... at my prime things would have been much different!

On a side note the actual science museum is spectacular!
