I'M FIRST!!! (lol)
Ok, I like the render, but the ingame screen has awful skin texture. But i like the gun itself. GW

[edit]
BTW, you know any good hand animation tutorials ??? I make an Ingram, but it's not animated.

Smitho,

Greetings. Nice contribution! Many will appreciate this to be sure.

Would you mind if I posted an improved hand & arm texture?

Thanks,

Seth Black

@FredP: Agreed.

Well, apart from the cartoonish arm texture, this looks really good. Nice work, Smitho.

Smitho, for the skin texture I suggest you put in blemishes and noise.
For some reason, textures in FPSC appear smoother than they look in the image file.

So you need to exaggerate the noise, blemishes etc to make the texture look real (and not like plastic) in FPSC.

Feel free to give the texture a go, fellow Smith
To test the weapon (You put that in the right place) you must place a start marker anmd set AK74 as the start weapon

Of course - Theres no need to ask if you are allowed to modify it or anything, although I will release a low poly AK74 to use as pickup

Smitho, I noticed that the clip is brown. I mean, your gun is totally gnarley, but are AK clips really brown? I'm not sure.

Cool Stuff Software is gnarley.

Nope - The AK74's clip can be wooden, and in this case i chose to make it a little bit different.
Here is the reference i used;

It can be a metal clip, however, and that can be changed through the texture.

Awesome weapon! Can you remove the hands so that it would go with the other fpsc weapons?

To get rid of the hand just open up the image and draw over all the arm area in true black (0,0,0). FPSC will make that transparent in-game. Make a backup though.

Maybe so, but there's no point wasting the levels polys on somethings you cant see. You will want to game to run as fast as possible

Since the render has bui;t in lighting (In anim8or), it adds shadows to the curvitures of the model, where as in FPSC there are no lighting effects on the weapon itself.

Nah, it's all good man, I'll put it out for free in this post. I just wanna get some practice at processing models from Milkshape through to Maya and this is a pretty nice gun, so I thought why not! I'll be sure to get you the results!
