I have super slow 14.4kbs dialup..
I use about 4 forums, and out of all of them this is by far the slowest to load...and it loads things in very odd orders!

for instance on http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=99665&b=2
that took me about 200 seconds to fully load(without anything in background)
while a similarly long topic at another forum took about 30 seconds(at the most)

about the weird loading order...
it will load the text of 4 posts, then it will load the avatars, signature images, and parts of other images
then it will load text of another 4 posts and so on...then it usually takes about 20 seconds just to load the post form

Is this my browsers problem or do you just do something wierd in your html stuff?

I'm not sure, but if your speed is 14.4kbs, you should really just spend the money to get something better, your living in the stone age .

Used to be like that out here too, but enough of us wanted broadband and we got it.

I actually find it to be one of the fastest loading pages for me. Even when my internet is going incredibly slow, this forum always loads almost instantaneously.

because when you visit the forum lots its saved alot of temporary files etc, which means it can load it alot faster

now maybe this forum is slow because you aren't near america? or maybe because its a big forum with tons of posts and forums?

anyways you will have to learn to live with it sorry

I'm in america..

after tweaking a little accelerator thing called fasterfox, these load considerably faster and in a more proper loading order...so don't mind now..

Actually I take back what I said, normal forum pages load as quick as can be expected. It's when doing a Post or a thread move, omg, its as slow as crap. I have seen it take anywhere from 10 secs to upwards of a minute to make a post (usually the latter), and moving a thread always seems to take for ev er.

that happens to me as well.

Sometimes it wont update the page, or appear to but it actually did the job, if you create a new window after closing the older one and then re visit the site it will make it a little less time consuming.

@Kieran: I clean my system with CCleaner every day, but it still loads fast.
