Through the MSDN-Alliance I've (finally) downloaded the Business version of windows vista, so I repartitioned my drive and shoved it's own partition to keep vista and windows xp on the same machine.

I must say that I'm really impressed by it, for a first release there are far far less bugs as its predecessors had. The games I have run flawlessly and dbpro worked perfectly (apart from the crashing on closing when uses sound which i hope will be fixed soon *nudge tgc* )

It of course looks fantastic, true they took some ideas from the linux and mac OS's but meh, it still looks great.

I was actually surprised at the speed it runs too, it seems to work a lot faster than windows XP at the moment.

By the way, for those who are trying vista, this is an absolute MUST to do or you will go crazy in a day. This gets rid of the User Access Control thing they put on.

Go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->Run
Type in MSConfig then OK, then select the Tools Tab
Scroll down and select disable UAC
Then reboot the computer.

Then no more annoying prompts when trying to run programs!

Cheers

OMG I have been looking for the UAC option for forever! Thanks Chenak! Besides that, I have to agree.

Support Freedom by supporting fascism. For under hard conditions freedom prevails, while under stagnation, it crumbles to dust.
