Newcomers DBPro Corner / wings 3d and .x problem

i made a sphere and exported as .3ds and changed the color in dbp and it works but goes very slow, so i exported the .3ds file to a .x file and did it this time but the sphere is grey even thought i have lighting.

does anyone have a solution to this?

nevermind i am using metaseq now and it works and it also has animation.
