Well I am trying to make a waypoint where a group of soldier march in three different lines next to each other. It all looks good in FPSC, but then when I test it, the Ai gets all confused at the start and go into each others waypoints and it all looks like a big mess. I've tried spacing the waypoints farther apart, and none of the waypoints are connected or crossing each other...

What could I do?

Frag Monkey,

Greetings. Are you intending to have the player interact with the group of marching soldiers, or is the group of soldiers merely for effect?

If the marching soldiers are to be used only as an effect, I might have a fix.

Try importing three of them, into a program such as FragMotion, fully rigged, position them and export the entire group as a new .x file. You'd have one .x file with multiple fully animated moving parts.

If you were careful and precise, you could even assign unique textures to each soldier.

To save FPS, you should have the new model spawn only when the player triggers it, and you should destroy it, once it is out of player's view.

Best of luck to your in your future endeavors.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Aha thanks for the info. My main idea was to have them be able to react, as at a certain point, I wanted to be able to shoot at them and have them stop marching and shoot back.

Although your method for an effect does give em some ideas

So is there a way to make them march and be able to interact with them?
