Screenshots are looking better and better . I'd say a decent price would be $20-$25 provided that it does everything you say it does (and it appears it does), is as easy to use as you make it appear, and the framerate remains as good as it seems .

Quote: "it's over 1600 lines of code"

It's not to break down your project or anything, but 1600 lines isn't -that- much...
But I guess if it's a stable engine and your features don't lack usability... I'm not going to say anything.

And about the price:
Maybe you should compare it to other programs.
Some prices of TGC distributed programs (the ones around the price you want to go):
Enhanced Animations - $29.99
ConvSEO - $29.99
DarkLights - $25.00
Unity - $20.00
EZrotate - $19.99
Enhancements Expansion Pack - $25.00
TextureMax - $20.00
Nuclear Glory - $24.95

Or also pretty famous:
Milkshape - $25

If you think these programs match yours...

It's the programmer's life:
Have a problem, solve the problem, and have a new problem to solve.

Sam, I think you should sell it for $19.99 or less. No, not because I think any features are lacking or there is anything wrong with your program. It sounds very useful to me. I think you should go cheaper because the likelihood of people buying it is greater. It's better to get 10 sales at $19.99 than 3 or 4 at $29.99. You'll maximize your profits by going cheaper, because you are offering it to a much wider market. I assume you will be giving it out in electronic download packages, so there is no material cost to consider other than server costs, so you have the ability to go cheap. You'll make more that way. I'm not trying to side with anyone, just offering a bit of wisdom.

Also, I think before you sell it, you should add support for the user to add his own scenery models to it (if you haven't yet). It would give the user a lot more flexibility. It wouldn't be hard to implement and would make people a lot happier.

Hmmm...thanks for all of the advice guys. I would have prefered something like email to prevent the hijacking of my thread, but I appreciate it.

Dink, that's a good idea. I had kind of thought of it before, but I wish I had considered it more seriously. I just finished the program yesterday, and got the paypal transaction set up. I was going to post up the demo today and put up the website for sales.... Perhaps I'll put it in my first update, which I plan to make soon because if people have suggestions on the first version (which they will), I'll be making lots of changes in the updates.

Over time you could add more and more functionality with free updates and one day it could be a full fledged map editor.

Oh, ok, sorry about that. I guess I just haven't been in the mood lately.

I'll be online tomorrow and we can talk about it. If you want you can email me, you should still have my address. I just don't like to post it up.
