RecommendzIt.com is a social network for video gamers. The site is has gone from a free for all site to one that is specifically for games to allow gamers to connect with gamers and for game developers to connect with the community. The site features the following features.

1. Private messaging to connect gamers to gamers and gamers to developers.
2. Site chat to talk about games and game related topics.
3. Blog for each user profile and blog entries are automatically submitted to RecommendzIt.com’s recommendations section. A great way for game developers to keep gamers posted on upcoming games.
4. Items recently added by your friends appear in a box on the homepage (once logged in) so that you can quickly see what they’ve added. There is also an RSS Feed of items recently added by your friends.
5. Integration of Box.net for file storage of downloadable content. Great for storage of game demos.
6. YouTube Videos can be played from the post without going to another page.
7. MP3’s such as game podcasts and and game music can be played from the post without going to another page.
8. Flash games can be played directly from the site (when linked directly to a swf file).

Currently the site is looking for some good game developers to post their games to the site, so if you have a cool new game you can promote it for free at RecommendzIt.com.

This is your first post into this community and your intention is to sell your website to developers here. Unfortunately thats frowned upon here because,

[A] In all honesty your just pimping your site so people can post their games there when we can post them here, which detracts and dilutes from the well respected traffic and community that is set up here.

[B] Some content within your site like the numerous minutes of the copyright movie "Happy Feet" does not make me confident your going to uphold peoples rights with their content and media.

[C] There is no DARKBASIC GAMES list as if this place is an afterthought trawler net approach to more content.

Im going to lock this post for now, if you want to stick around and learn a bit more about making games with dark basic please feel free to do so, and dont be hesitant to ask how something is done. Once you have established yourself as a member and made a few friends, and proven that your not just trawling by, people might be more interested in your ability to showcase game dev work on your site, For now however because its your first post, it feels like your pimping.
