Yeah, long time to see chaps... I've kinda gotten away from programming, as you've probably figured out. Decided I needed some extra money, and so I put a copy of dbp on ebay - you can buy it now for 80$ (edit: $57 now), I hope that's a reasonable price. If I don't get any takers after a week or so, I'll stick it up in the bidding system for a starting price of, oh, I dunno, $55 or something. It's only ten bucks off retail, but I figure maybe somebody in the united states doesn't want to pay for overseas shipping.... so yeah.

<item removed, and link removed - it was against the aup to post a link to that anyway>

So, what've I missed, in the six months or so that I've been AWOL?

edit: ohhhh yeah, THAT's how the url tags work...
edit2: price has been knocked down to $57. Also, I'm seriously considering selling everything (and that's every product tgc sells and every product tgc will make in 2007, folks) for $120 USD or so. If anybody is interested in a deal like that (and that's quite a deal), post here and I'll sort it out.

Wait, didn't you get a copy of EVERYTHING TGC sells? So does this mean you still have a copy of DBP and you're just selling your extra one or what?

Also, you use the url tags like this:

Yeah, I'm trying to sell the extra one. If that goes, then I'll stick my personal copy up as well.

And it's not like I can sell all the stuff I got, 95% of it was download only and I'd rather not mess with the dubious nature of selling stuff like that. I suppose I could offer my account password up for sale for a thousand dollars or so

not personal or anything, but its a shame such a valuable prize product bundle to many people here who would give left arms for it is kinda waisted on someone whos just cashing in.

perhaps you could sell it to someone here as a bundle with a 25% discount of the original price or something.

this forum would be the best place to sell a package of that calibre.

I personally believe the next prize pack should be at 1,234,567 posts.

Also, Hawkeye, why? I seriously sent the link to that sticky to EVERYONE I knew, even people who don't program, just because it's amazing. That's a great pack and you're just selling it all. You make little boys and girls around the world cry.

I think that the true tragedy here is that he won't be able to sell or use the electronic products. He can't sell them individually and nobody will pay what they're worth.

Good luck getting rid of DBP for such a high price considering it's what, 50% off right now?

Yeah, I know it's a crying shame... it took a bit of courage to post this up here, I didn't exactly expect open arms.

Trying to sell seems just a bit questionable to me as well, but I simply don't have a use for this stuff anymore. I'm currently scrambling trying to finish my senior year and preparing to head off to college in a couple of months.

So seriously, if I put my password up for auction, and put it at a price %25 off of the sum of all the stuff here, that would fly here? I would do it in a heartbeat, heck, I'll take %50 off just to make it sell. And when I got all that stuff, my original intention was not to cash in, indeed I was quite serious about trying to put something together. But life got in the way, and like I said, I simply don't have a use for this stuff anymore.

No hard feelings chaps, I understand what you're thinking... and I'm finding it hard to like myself right now too *sniffle*

I think some people are a bit harsh too, it's not like Hawkeye intentionally waited till there were 999,999 posts (probably) and then posted.

Why, does it remind you of your noob days (ie. today)?

Slight update: price has been knocked down to $57

Also, I'm seriously considering selling the whole kit and kaboodle for a starting bid of $120 USD or so. If anybody is interested in a deal like that (and that's quite a deal), post here and I'll put the password up for auction.

I'm not entirely sure that's acceptable under the AUP. You should probably contact TGC if you're planning on selling your password

It's not the pass to this account. When Rich added the stuff to the system, he did so with the email address that is not associated with this account... so I made another with the email address that he did use in order to access it.

I'm still thinking about what I should do... this situation is deeper than I first realized, moral wise. I can justify it fairly easily, but I can also counter justify it just as easily... I'll write up what's boiling through my head tomorrow.

Well, it is definitely better that someone be able to use that software. If he doesn't sell it, then that's not possible.

If only I'd won a package like that a year ago, I'd have saved a grip of money

Y'know these forums are for gamemakers. Not people who win stuff and then sell it. Geez, if you aren't happy with what you got, then return it back to TGC or whatever. I mean, I'd love to get those things, but I don't have that much money to spend on them all, being in high school and all.

Well, I hope you feel you've made the right decision.

You are completely wrong. It would be a great opportunity for you if you had any money. Game making isn't free, so I don't feel sorry for anyone that can't buy his package.

Yeah, you got a point, I mean, it is sort of nice he is discounting everything and then selling it.
