Does any one know how to make custom prefabs. I looked under the save
menu and there is no way to save projects as a prefab file.

A prefab is just a bunch of segments put together by TGC, just to give the new user some buildings that are fully completed to work with. So, to make prefabs, just stick some segments together, and there you have it, your first custom prefab!
