note: please leave some comments

i edited the post a bit, i will let you guys see how far i am:

=finished
=still under contruction
=not yet started

levels:
lightmapping:
weapons and AI adjustments:
final game test:

OMG... All the screenshots look freakin amazing!!!!! I Like that you used mp5 and mp6 together. The lighting is good and the placement of objects is very good. So far nothing wrong with your game to me

i have some bad news (at least for me)
when i upgraded to vista, my maps were gone...
so i checked everything, and they just dissappeared,
i'm really sorry guys, i'm creating another game,
it has a bit the same storyline, so the places you saw
in the screenshots will look more different in the game.

Shame about losing the levels, that's a warning to all about the evil Vista.

What is the fascination with dual wielded weapons? They are really not practical as anyone who has done miltary or police service would know. Then again I suppose it's only a game and like films they can be totally far fetched and unrealistic I suppose.

OK I'm off out hiking, need to wear in my new boots

maybe you're right, but vista is not that bad, i mean losing levels, that's a shame, but for the rest, vista is oke, the downloading and stuff like that worked faster with me, so i'm
pretty happy with it, and while we are talking about vista, that geforce 8800, does somebody know how many that costs?

thanks

Hi kloen...
That looks (looked) nice! I think you should try to redo the game like it was before although i dont like the home scene very much because of these segments which dont match to the rest of the game
Nize work!

right guys, i checked the bios a bit, and i found out that i can still work with xp, so i made a CD with the files, and now i got the levels back, and i'm ready to go on to finish the game (i still have to make some levels), but i will check if i can upload a demo.

PS: thanks for the comments, guys, and jhon, i will change the segments of the house.

I've got a few suggestions, best if you are going commercial.
These are all very common mistakes, and some are directed towards you.

1. Remove the guns, and add TV's and stuff at your house. Why would you keep guns on tables 24-7?

2. Add a little more to the story, give this guy a reason to be calling you and holding your family ransome. Make your house look really big so you look rich or something.

3. Try doing custom models, modern terminals are alot bigger then that.

4. Make the part where you answer the phone actually real, if it isn't.

5. Add a couple of civilians to run around, along with some unarmed police officers so that they don't automatically shoot you, if there isn't.

6. Not particularly to you, but this is a very common mistake among FPSC games, but I don't think you will - Make sure you edit the textures so the arm is always the same on the same mission, if you use both model pack 5 & 6; I don't see why you would put on leather gloves just for a desert eagle.

7. Make the story a little original, talk to some people, take a couple college classes, if you can't already, and make a full story line. The world's most failing games are ones where it just loads a long line of levels. If it were me, and that was my thesis statement, I would have him run you around the city, and give you clues.

8. Don't let your player just start out with a ton of weapons, give him fists to start, and a AT9mm on the second level or something.

It looks good otherwise, but if you plan to go commercial, you might want to fix it up a little bit, and fix the lighting.
I highly recommend you stick with Model Pack 5 & 6, they are the good ones. (Or of course, if you like to do 3d models,

Death is only the end of the physical realm, eternity in the astral plains awaits you. But people are ugly there, and there are not very many multiplayer video games. So stick with earth for a while.

WHOA! THAT LOOKS (LOOKED) NICE! I would pay for a download of that game. How'd you get the red box around the computer and the text saying: When you walk to the computer the next mission will start?

i just made a screenshot and edited it with paint,
@ person 99, thanks for the tips, i really need it,
it's my first game, you know, so thanks.
but if i want to edit the levels with more storyline
and more voice, video, enz. then i got more to do
so you just gonna have to wait even longer, but for
now i will post a quick level demo in the next thread, just for test, it's not finished yet.

my pc is really doing very bad: when i test a game, and i wait 3 seconds, it encountered an error, so i re-installed fpsc (actually repaired with the installation shield wizard) and when i test my games now, the weapons (pick up) are invisible and the doors will open really slow, and all my entities from my levels are gone, does somebody know how to fix this?

Thanks, I'll try that too on my game that I'm working on. Oh by the way, what model packs do you use?
