Using anim8or I've created an object that consists of a single mesh, and applied two different textures to various polygons. Each texture is a separate bitmap file.

When I load the resulting object into DBC, however, only one texture appears on the model. Is there any way I can get DBC to load both bitmaps and texture the object correctly?

Its been a while since ive used it for DBC but it should work from earlier testing.
I dont use anim8or but i can assure you that the process works in DBP.
I use it on my spellbook covers and pages.

I'm afraid that's not much help - it should work, but it doesn't. I'll probably just have to create separate meshes for the regions I want to texture differently.

I had considered a UV mapper (I download UV Mapper Classic from www.UVMapper.com) but I can't figure out how it works.

Ho, hum...

I use unwrap3d

I assign some polys to a group and name them.
I assign the texture to these group of polys while the texture is in the same folder as the model
I assign another texture to the other areas of named groups
Then export as .x and convert to DBO afterwards if required.
skip the DBO if your in classic
