TuPP3,

Greetings. I see that you're going for the Health Heads...great choice!

Follow this link to an early posting on the subject:

You should be able to learn what's going wrong with your attempt.

I've used Health Heads, with custom graphics, and it works very well. It's a great effect.

I have a backup of the art I used, reference notes, and the script that I used. I'll have to search for it. When I locate it, I'll share it with you.

Thanks,

Seth Black

EDIT: Here's a .zip file with the images and script that I used. Make sure that you point to the new script Globally through Build Game.

I have seen that and all others topics what I found with search but I dont know what is wrong. Only health numbers changes place but I cant see head. Can I even see heads in FPSC or just in build game?

Oh, you can see it when you test the level. I remember that much. I remember having a problem displaying the heads at first, too. It was something simple...I don't recall my fix.

I haven't used Health Heads in quite a while. Let me play with it a little, and I'll get back to you.

Thanks,

Seth Black

EDIT:

Okay, the first thing that I notice, is that the .fpi is missing "". This happens sometimes, when code is posted on these boards. Manually add "" to demark the file trees throughout the script. IE: "gamecorehudshead1.tga", etc.

I think this is what was causing my problems in the beginning. I'll get back to you.

Replace HealthHeadsSystem.fpi, with this one. I've made the "\" corrections.

TuPP3,

Greetings. After quite a bit of scratching my head, and trying to get the Health Heads to work properly, I was able to figure out the problem.

Habatar's original scripting worked very well for FPSC EA, and Version 1, but the updates rendered the system obsolete. The original scripting doesn't work with V103 through V105.

I've combined it with a V103 setuplevel.fpi script, and it does indeed work very well. It's a really nice effect.

I've attached the custom graphics and the updated scripting that I used. Be sure to read the Health Heads V103 ReadMe.txt file that I've included. Follow the steps, and you will have the ability to use the Health Head System in your games.

Good luck to you, in your future endeavors.

Thanks,

Seth Black
