Binary Zoo ftw. Again. Anyone know if this was made in something other than DB, or what?

Then I declare it to be the most enjoyable DBP game I have played.

Great game! This (and Binary Zoo's other stuff) is definately some of the BEST stuff that has been done in DBpro. Although it is simple in the gameplay department, it is more polished than most pro games are. The attention to detail is amazing.

Good stuff!

It's written entirely using our <dodo> shmup scripting system based around a DBPro engine. So yup, it's all DBPro sprites

As ever, thanks for the kind comments.

As an aside and for anyone that remembers it, DUOtris has now been picked up by a publisher and is out on Blackberry and Mobile formats (see our site) so again, thanks to everyone who encouraged us during the development of that

NICE! I think you should rewrite Echoes in XNA and submit it to Microsoft? Would be a good addition to the XBLA library. =)

Fog, you are the more awesomest programmer ever in DBPRO.

Sorry Benjaming, Spooky, Cash Curtis, etc. but you have to admit.

WEll not exactly, fog is the best 2D DBPRO coder, the rest is speculation.

Awesome game, Fog! You *really* should charge for your next one, and try to get it on Steam, Real Arcade, Shockwave, etc.

Fog, If I can actually grasp it then you could do it.

As in I'm sure you could make something good in it rather quickly. >.>

Awesome game!!! Hardcore addicting!
Damn, my games wont ever be that polished
just noticed the animals wandering around the screen after you dont touch the mouse for a while

one question, why do use more than one image for each powerup, u could just put all the frames in one image and use animated sprites, why dont u do so?

Edit: Why dont you post this in program announcements?

I just wanted something more flexible than the built in animated sprites commands. Something that can handle multiple image sizes, that can playback animation frames in an order other than sequential, that can automatically trigger another animation when the first one finishes etc.

And as the same code is intended to be used for a lot of projects, it is capable of quite a few things that aren't obvious in Echoes.....and let's be honest, Echoes is hardly a good example of sprite animation anyway

Because someone else was good enough to announce it here first. I've just noticed there's also a highscore thread too. Anymore Echoes threads and I'd call it spamming

Glad you appreciated that. One for us oldies
