Hi there,

as we speak my MSN has probably signed out near to 2 or 3 times.

Numerous GOOGLE searches have proved fruitless, and I'm getting rather irate at this app.

The problem is simple. Every few minutes MSN will just sign out, without any warning and leave me in the lurch. Mid-typing MSN dies...now this is slightly more than annoying...

I've tried complete reinstalls and upgraded broadband firmware but to no avail.

Any ideas people?
regards,
rich

Mine works fine .
I had something like this once i think it was my internet connection.
Check if your web browser works normally at normal speeds if it doesn't then its your internet connection but if your browser works fine then hmm ill get back to you if i find anything else. Maybe its just the Main Server crashing in your area so wait like a day or two and try again.

I've waited a day or two for months, internet's fine as web pages load properly. Also I'm not running any Torrent/Limewire/download clients so my bandwith usage should be rather low.

As I said, rather annoying...

It would say.

Sounds like the connection is just being closed for some reason. That's about as far as I can narrow it down.

the msn server you were connecting to might have been faulty in your area.
eg: messenger.hotmail.com 1863

Be glad it even works for you, I've had about 6 accounts recently since they won't ever sign on

It happens from time to time. Not much you can do about it as the problem lies on their servers. Usually it won't last more than a day.

If could possibly try using a different client and see what happens.

I thought that Phaelax so I tried Trillian&GAIM...signed me off...

Weird thing is it doesn't do it on my Dad's machine (but that is a different geographical location...)

it could be a hacker crashing the server, it happens with free mmos quite a bit.

It's because they're doing database maintenance. Calm down everyone--- you can't expect anything from a free service anyways.
