Newcomers DBPro Corner / Lock mouse axis

Is there any way to lock the movement of the mouse to only one axis
e.g when I hold down a button I can only move the mouse pointer up down the screen.

Sure there is, your program won’t do anything unless you tell it to. What I mean is simply alter or bypass your existing code that controls you camera movement.

Throw me your code and I’ll whip something up for ya.

He never said anything about a camera.

Just use the POSITION MOUSE command. If you wanted to lock the mouse to the middle of the screen on the y axis, you'd do the following:



Pretty self explanatory from there.

ahh I just skimed over his post got it in my head that he was talking about moving the camera with the mouse...been awake for to long

Makes sense, 99% of the mouse questions on these forums are either a) how to get fps cam movement working or b) how to move sprites with the mouse.
