You could probably make it so that when you press "r", the iron sight zooms out. It would work for the reload thing unless the person decided to wait until the clip is empty, which no one does.

How would you go about doing that? Sounds like a good idea, better than what I currently have. That's true, no one waits for an empty clip to reload these days If possible, I want to abolish auto reload entirely, but I won't get picky

You won't be able to imitate Red Orchestra in FPSC, though I'd love to see your effort. RO was an awesome game, by the way (in my opinion).

Well, isn't the right click to zoom a script? Or is it hard coded into the engine. If it's just some .fpi code, you could make it so that right click zooms and right click again zooms out but "r" also zooms out. Just make it remove the iron sight hud. If it's hard coded... Then I guess I'm talking gibberish.

Well, that is a little excessive But yeah, I agree, I still play RO 3.3 (the mod version). But I'm straying as far as possible from the COD4/Halo style that is seen in far to many FPS games these days. I think I will be adding stamina (I'll need a variable though), and when you run out of it, you start losing about 10 health a second. And try not to doubt me too much, I may miss a few features like 3D sights, but I'm going to work on getting the core stuff like RO. With Airmod out, FPSC is improved a thousand times.

@ darimc: Yeah, unfortunately, that won't work Too much of FPSC is hard-coded- were-as Quake 4 is pretty much all in .def script files. A real shame that

YAY! I love a bump now and again We are working on our "realism" scripts right now, but ATM, I'm more worried about school stuff than EOT. School sucks

UPDATE TIME! Well EOT is going good, we are pretty much finished the storyline and level layouts (on paper) and have tons of possible levels in FPSC. The main problems now is time and the story, but this summer will hopefully bring in some serious advance (maybe even the full version beta). Airmod has been pouring features into FPSC faster than a torpedo pours water into a rowboat, which is pretty quick With the new weapon-slot cleansing and plrfreeze scripting actions, we have interactive cut-scenes planned as well. Two have already been tested in the level where you are captured by the terrorists. They seem to work quite well although there are a few problems we would like to try and get around. I recently got COD4 and I have got a lot of cool game-play ideas from it, don't worry though as this does NOT mean we are trying to be like COD4. But the interactive cut-scenes really amazed us, and we think EOT could benefit from them. If you hate the idea though, please tell us. Interactive cut-scenes can't be skipped, until now. We think we have found a way to let you "skip" an interactive cut-scene. This takes away the last advantage that normal cut-scenes have over interactive ones. However the skipping is still rather problematic and also needs some work. The story will take place over 9 sections, each containing maybe 2-4 smallish levels. The sections are broken up to spread loading times out more and to increase FPS. You will be able to start a section from the "load game" tab, which will obviously be re-named accordingly. This also means, we will be removing the ability to save and load games, which is at best unrealistic and at worst pretty much single-player "h4x". Overall, we aren't too happy with the speed EOT is progressing at, but real life comes first unfortunately

Thanks, will do.

Ok, I need everyones votes. Should EOT have normal maps for all objects? We are using a menu system that will allow them to be switched off, but before you jump on "yes" think of the disadvantages: the built game size will be much bigger, maybe 100-300 MB more. Also, normal maps aren't that awesome in FPSC, begin a bit glitchy sometimes. Thanks for your vote.

No, just stick with what you've got, Slayer222. I'd then be much faster to install.

That's one for no to normal maps. I'll soon have a nice video and maybe a demo of normal maps vs. no normal maps for those of you that haven't seen their effects.

OK, double post here, my other account was deleted. I'd appreciate it if the mods would delete all posts until my first one as "Slayer222" so I can update the first page accordingly. Or give me my old account back, but I guess thats a little out of the question. In the meantime, I'll edit my first post as "Slayer222" as I feel necessary.

I vote no. My graphics card can't handle good graphics. And plus an extra 100-300mb download would be another two hours for my computer. But hey, maybe EOT 2.

My email hates yours The Toasty, so here's my message:

Quote: "Well, I was wondering if you would do some MP1 corpse entities for us as you said you might, please? If the offer is still out there, it would be much appreciated, and we might be able to reimburse you for your efforts."

Ok then, thanks. Take all the time you need. All we need is a few SAS and Swat corpses in various positions if it's not to much trouble.
