There is also a main thread to go with the forums. There is a few downloads on that as well. There is also downloads on the forums. There is a place just for newcomers. Which is why this place is good for newcomers.

I just joined as AmericanInfantry. I posted in Inspire's thread, Gone.

May I ask, why should I have 5 posts before entering a link?

What? I didn't know you had to do that. That's weird. Let me see if I can disable that.

I hope you like the forums!

No problem. It is looking good though. I have to say, aside the lack of custom media, it looks better than my game

Here is a pic of what else we have to offer for FPSC

Well guys, the site has massively jumped in views ever since I submitted it to several search engines. And I have seen it in google.

So I have good news and bad news of this jump in views.

~Good News~ I was the 700th visitor. Meaning In this two week period there have been 700 visitor. So people are going to my site

~Bad News~ Every time you go to the site there is this big pop up thing saying something about it being a high traffic website. So yeah, now there is a really big ad in the way.

Screeny of the 700th view!

Here is a screen of what one of the ads look like. Do you guys know of any way to get rid of this? It's kind of annoying. But at least the site is high traffic.

it stops people (and bots) from joining just to advertise for a product.

Yeah. I can upgrade for a dollar something and get rid of ads. I don't know HTML so I'm staying with it. But I'll just go premium to make it better.

Oh, I forgot about frihost. It doesn't seem too much different than sitesled though. Oh well. I'll be moving to either one eventually. I need to learn HTML first. Only problem though, is I like the template I'm using at freewebs.

Okay. So I started at sitesled, but uhhhh, what do I do? I downloaded 'trellian' which is the recommended html editor. But uhhhhh, where do I put the file?

I probably shouldn't be asking here, but I'm sure Rolfy might know. I'll go check on their forums.

Jenkins, check out the tools section,I am sure they have a rake of tools and tutorials.
I think you should set up with ftp,you should be able to download your entire site with this from freewebs, and upload to sitesled.Only thing I am not sure about is if the template will be intact, never use these myself, tho' I expect sitesled may have some of their own.
Once you get your ftp client set up you will find that editing your site will be a breeze.
Also use the client to log on to your freewebs site so you can access the files and download as i said above,I'm pretty sure this should work getting your entire site down intact, maybe someone more savvy could tell you if the template comes with it,but I dont see why not.

Right now I'm working with someone on the main site. Okay well he's doing it. He is changing the site and making it much better. It will not be at freewebs.com anymore!!!!! No more stupid ads.

Can someone click my sig and see if it takes you to my site?

[EDIT] Okay, never mind guys. It seems that the re directory is messed up.

Here is a screeny of my new personal favorite theme. Sorry for most of these being an png format but MS paints Jpg's quality sucks and I'm having GIMP problems.

Okay, so here is the deal. My forums have died drastically and I've been thinking of ideas to bring it's life back. It never had much life but it was breathing at one point.

Quote: "Commander and Chief and I have been brainstorming ideas for a monthly competition. Well both of us got nowhere. Out of the blue I was pacing back and forth throughout my house thinking of how much I hate my house. Then I got the idea, I'll make my own house in my game so I can have an imaginary cool house. At that moment at stopped and thought to myself "What if that was the competition? Where whoever made the most realistic and artful house could win a prize."

It's not great. But it would be interesting. These forums have drastically died lately so I've been trying to think of ways that would gather more users.

This competition could be graded on like these 3 factors:

1. Realism- Is the house realistic? Do the entities you placed belong in realistic areas? You know, that type of realism thing.

2. Artful- Is the house decorated accordingly? Or is it just a plain room with nothing in it.

3. Loading and Frame Rates speed- Are the loading times drastic and how are the Frames? All those entities might cause a big slow down.

1 and 2 would be the mainly graded parts. 3 would still be graded just not as drastic. FPSC isn't too good for that part.

You can only use 2 layers each layer only 10x10.

This is just a general thought to the community. I would still have to go about finding prize lenders and what not. If you have any suggestion or a better competition in mind, please feel free to let me know."

Now I know this isn't the greatest competition ever. So I know you guys don't think it is worth putting your prize up. I'm only asking for ONE prize lender. Whether it is high quality or low quality. Whether it costs $5 or $500. Only one winner will be declared. And that person will get the prize. I'm just trying to find someway that people will start joining the forums.

If someone will be willing to donate a prize I would like to start a different thread explaining the rules. I'm not 100% sure if this will be the competition, it's just a start. I don't want to do level design because that already takes place. Same goes for best model and best screen. So I took a different route.

I've worked very hard on these forums and I don't want it to just die. I've said it before and I'll say it again. "I'll stop at nothing to get these forums to life and used daily."

Random "I'm making this game" threads. That's not for the showcase. It's for the chat board.

Stories. They're not showcase worthy, post them elsewhere.

Well I haven't finished that part quite yet. But there is a little store where you can buy text effects and stuff. Soon I will be finishing the touches off of my weapon pack. What I'm going to do is.... basically it is going to be a free pack but you will have to pay with the cash thing. Just so I can get people involved.

Actually, no it isn't. There was already a discussion about this and it is to remain unlocked.

EXTREME BUMP! Sorry for the leave of absence guys. I'm having problems with just about everything. If you caught my post in the good-bye thread, I'm KIND of back. My achilles is torn. So yeah. We need more members. The forums have died down ever since [edit{again}] we had some problems.
And sorry for the big bump. I haven't really been here to keep this thread going but I'll bring it back to life if that's alright.

I've tried to bring back life to my forums but it hasn't worked. And that's mainly because I've been gone. My achilles is still in bad shape but it is nearly fully healed already, if that's fast. Please go to my forums.

Man even the thread of my forums is dead. Come on people it's not only for FPSC, it has several other topics. Just go take a quick peak and see if you like it or not.
