Thanks for the nice comments, No Complaints, (Yet)

I've now added the Data Bar at the bottom, But it could still use some work to make the DataBar look better.

Does it allow you to work with CYMK file formats?
Is there future implementation of a Pantone colourset?

It looks great to start with, but no GD would use it if its all in RGB, the colour correction components would be unsuitable for printing etc.

Dont get me wrong, kudos for giving it a go, but if there is no CYMK / Pantone /etc control its not viable for GD's

The Full Metal Coder
Thanks

Indi
1 = I`m only making this for fun
2 = I dont know what "CYMK file Formats" Means
3 = I dont know what a "Pantone colourset" is
4 = I dont know what a GD is???????????????????

I know its not 100%, But its only 1 weeks work, (Between my day job)

At the moment to select a color im using a free DLL from DarkSide to open the Windows Color Selector, But I do want to make my own because the windows default one looks plain

The text works with Bold, Italic, Underline, StrikeThrough, Font Change & Size Changing, But only 1 style Per Layer, (Per Sprite)

Design a Map for 2DGames
There is Also another Tab which I need to add still for 2D Games giving options for sprites like Make Solid (For floors and walls), Make Movable, Make Collectable, Apply Gravity, Ect.

Once Ive added that you could use this to make the map for a 2D Platform Game, and simply load it in DBPro or Classic

I'm doing this bit to be compatable with a MetalSlug Platform Game i'm making

Enter your friendly mobile dictionary from stage left ...

CYMK is a colour-space, like RGB : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CMYK_color_model

Pantone colours are a standardised set of colours : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantone

GD = Graphics Designer.

... exits to stage right to rapturous applause

I Figure the app might aswell be multi-purpose because any "Document" I make in this I can just load in DBPro.
And i cant do that with Word, Quark, Ect

This is only a demo so a few items have been disabled as i've not finished them yet.

I have a question for any DBPro Wizards out there, Why is it sometimes the programme will load an image, And sometimes it simply says, "Unable to load image", then crashes?

Will this happen if I run low on memory because I know the filename is correct?

And if so is there anyway I can stop it from Crashing, say by checking first?

Ps: Customize the TitleBar for a Vista look in XP

If you have lots of code and you know everything is right on palpalp line.. The error could be in somewhere else.. Dbpro ide likes to give wrong lines and wrong error reports.. Code Sugre prevents this by well by 25% (i never got CS to report right the errors) anyways..

The load image problem is mostly due to an incorrectly renamed image file (changes extension by renamming only) and corrupt image files which could be caused by low memory if your program made the image and then tried to reload it. Short of manually parsing the file to see it the format is correct ... I don't think there is a way to tell before trying to load it.

Also CYMK support would not be that hard to add if you ever wanted to.

Looking great man, keep it up.

PS ... Actually you can use this:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=76662&b=5

To catch your image loading error.

As well as being a programmer, I also write technical documentation for my employer, a multinational packaging machinery manufacturer. My primary too-of-trade is Adobe InDesign, although I'm really starting to fall in love with Word 2007. It hasn't blinked once with the huge number of images I'm putting in a document, unlike Word <= 2003. Typically, I am overseeing the translation of my work into a dozen languages.

One thing I feel that is critically important in a DTP program is good cross-referencing - something that InDesign (and, as far as I know, Quark) are spectacularly inept at. Word, however, does a stellar job of cross-referencing.

Essentially, you have a picture or some other object placed on a page. You have text somewhere in the document that says "see the illustration on page xx". As pages are inserted and deleted, the xx reference updates with the current page number of the referenced object.

Another thing that is important is layers. A technical document needs multiple layers to put different languages on to.

Finally, make sure you have unicode support. I've been bitten once with Pagemaker over it's supposed unicode support, and it virtually required me to switch over to InDesign.

Good luck.

It may be another week or 2 until I can add a full working version as i've made a few changes

Windows Default Menus, (Through System DLLs)
Plugins using DarkScript
Multipul Color Selectors
Set BackImgColorKey
Set Layer ColorKey

The following are a few events I've also added so you can control the befavore of a layer, (Uses DarkScript)
OnClick1
OnClick2
OnOver
NotOver
OnScreen
OffScreen

There is also a Resolution Requirment of 1280,1024, For the reason of why see Attached Picture

Is this too much, (I use this Resolution), But I can reduce this a little if required to 1024x768
