I've reworked TGC's bullethole.dds to add some melee compatability and make it work better when the ambient light is set low in a game. I didn't go out of my way to fix things that weren't broken, so I hope that there aren't any issues with me making this thread. If feel confident that the changes are signifigant to the original artwork and I'm not going to pretend that I created them from scratch or anything like that. So, there you have it.

Not a lot else I can say about this other that I hope some people can get some use out of it. Any questions, just ask and BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL BULLETHOLES.DDS BEFORE USING THIS MOD.

I've uploaded the replacement file as "EAIscorchMOD_files.zip"
and the .PSD as ""EAIscorchMOD_PSD.zip"

You can download them both on FileFront:

Finally... Thank You EAI. This is awesome. I hate making bullet holes with an axe.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I know that bullet holes from melee weapons have been a pet peeve for several and I now that I've made a few myself it became necessary to do something about it.

My weapon pack is still in the making and has expanded well beyond the M16s and there are some mele weapons now too. My main hurdle at the moment is with sound effects.

I've been seeing many a Grindhouse promo lately so with Tarentino on the mind found that I just had to make a katana. I'll post some weapon updates hopefully later this week to show off all that's been done while I've been away from the forums. Several new weapons have been added and many of the vweaps and pickup entities are now complete. I've also been doing some fun stuff with incorporating a motion trail effect into the melee weapons that I'll be wanting to get some feedback on.

OMG Errant your weapon pack is gonna be the biggest pack in the whole history of model packs, well maybe not model pack 3 it has 526 items in it. I really like the new stuff you've made Errant.

Thanks for the feedback Fred!

Let me know if you have anything odd happen... Durring testing, I expended a considerable amount of flak trying to ensure that only scorchtype 7 was used for flak however I just today spotted a big paintsplat on the ground which I fear may have come from an enemy using a flak weapon but I haven't been able to reproduce that

I haven't tested it with enemies yet...just weapons that the player has.
If I get a chance here in a few I will check that out.

Edit:
I have been testing this a little with enemies and so far it works fine.
