Anyone else get theirs? Its amazing that they fit All the XP editions on 1 disc=O. I love how they finally compiled all the SDKS on one disc as well. Runs great, and I AM LOVING THE VISTA x64 DISC COMES WITH IT!

Overall, its about $15,000 worth of software, it is simply amazing really. I <3 MSDN.

SteveJ: You won't love it when you start trying to sift through the MSDN documentation trying to find something you want

As long as you have a brain it's not that difficult.

This explains my recent difficulty in finding the MSDN article:-

"How to codez good LOL in visual C++ 1,2,3,5,6"

I shall attempt to find a brane.

Only when you look for n00bie stuff that anyone can do, look for anything advanced and the quality of the documentation decreases significantly

Give me an example of what you define as 'advanced'.

Here is my guess:

How about creating a hook into the filesystem so you can track changes made? (Just off the top of my head)

Is that even possible through WinAPI?

@dabip: It is a business subscription, I believe my company pays a few grand every year/month.

@Kentaree: Yes, the documentation is crap on 200 levels=P

Is that based on experience or is it just another anti-Microsoft comment?

It is most definitely possible through the windows api. The MSDN documentation is atrocious, and that's talking from experience, it's gotten messier of the years as more has been added, but it was never great to begin with.

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else and say the MSDN isn't the greatest documentation. At the very least they should separate the languages into separate collections.

Yah, I've found several mistakes when I was going through some of the MSDN tutorials---- or maybe they're there on purpose to make sure you're paying attention?
