-MOD EDIT-

File removed from here. User has been banned. Let this be a warning that we don't take this sort of thing lightly. You can't hide behind the cloak of "I didn't make it."

One hint: It's a black box, but it's not a picture.

I launched it, and I think it tried to format my computer

Luckily, it started on drive A, which is the empty floppy drive, and made it crash

Nah, I didn't make it
And I'm not quite sure why one would launch it.

I agree. Simply posting it is good reason.

Um... because you told people to figure it out?

BTW I figured out what it means. The message is "Ban me! Ban me!"

Is this a bad joke? Why would you do such a thing? I can't imagine what was going trough your head when you made this thread, considering the effect of the "black box".

I vote banned too.

The file that he posted is 7 kB in size. A gif with those dimentions should not be larger than 150 Bytes.

It looks like someone appended some files to the .gif. Open it with notepad and search for the files that Thraxas mentioned.

It's just a rar file renamed to a gif.

If so, then imageshack would not have accepted the file.

EDIT: Upon examination of the file, I figure it might be a DDOS agent or an IRC spammer, not sure which.

I rename it to a zip and it says 'Please insert the last disk of the Multi-Volume set and click OK to continue.' What's going on?

This is too weird.

By reading this you have given me brief control of your mind.

Wow, Diggsey is right. This is amazingly clever. I really wanna know how to do this! Not to make viruses or anything like this, but it would be cool to make a program into a picture of something.

Um, no. I renamed the file to .rar and saw it contains the files that were mentioned. There are some Perl files that look like they're made for flooding someone's IP address with packets or something like that. I'm no Perl expert, but this looks like some script-kiddy stuff.
