Since when was offering customer input/feedback an April Fools?

That joke could only possibly work if the company involved was famous for ignoring it's userbase.

Otherwise, I don't get it. I could think of a dozen more interesting April Fools than that. Including commands that "generate models on the fly", or free Direct-X 10 video cards to every reader who responds within 12 hours of the newsletter.

Yeah, wasn't much of an April Fools' really. I was dreadfully disappointed. I actually clicked the image prior to reading about that it was supposedly linking to.

After reading what it supposedly links to, it is a bit less believable in that sense... but still, a bit of a lame A.F's, seeing as though it is using a real forum issue as a joke

It was a (very) wry poke at those (for want of a better word) idiots who honestly believed, and posted as much, that the company cashflow and stability was somehow directly related to the position of a Google advert on the forum.

I agree, not much of an April Fools (it'll never top my 'Google forum' gag from a few years back!), but it made me smirk all the same. It was nice to see a send-up of the absurdity of some comments here imho, but then I sit on 'this' side of the fence.

Ahh, that makes more sense. Slightly more comical in that way, although I was disappointed not to find a completely outlandish over-the-top joke

Also, where is the 'email winner' thing in this issue? Or has that been removed now? (I know it wasn't in the prev. issue, but I assumed it wasn't there because there were other give-aways in that issue)

Not sure, I think Steve forgot to add it back in I'm sure it will return next issue. Infact I'll add it into Issue 52 now so we don't forget.

I'd like to have seen a totally OTT April Fools too - but hey, there are enough of them going around the forum at the moment anyway!
