Yes, that's the error message I get when I try to convert my .x model into a .bsp file. I think I made the map right. All I have is cubes, no overlapping etc.

No, I have DBPro, I just want to start my game by learning the basics (lol darkBASICS). Anyway, I solved the .bsp compiler problem. turns out I had half a torus for two corners lol.

One problem though. Chunks of my model were missing. I think that might be due to texturing individual faces but if I still have problems I'll let u guys know.

can you not see them from any angle?
dbpro has a culling system so backward facing polygons are not rendered. check all the polygons in your map are facing the same way, then try again.

thanks to deathead for the sig!

Nope, it appears that about half of my model is missing even at different angles.

I went ahead and loaded it in the x file format and the whole thing loaded fine.

Is there some size limit or something?

hello...I have use Bsp format and it works perfectly...but we have to be carefull and never scale any primitive...just selet them and with the tool of move vertex...we can move then and make differents objects...but remenber...never scale objects ...

Try to make the level by small sections and save every time you success

One of the best ways is extrude faces or to move vertex by select and move...it´s easy

the only reason to use the file bsp, is just to get fast and good collisions without getting crazy but there are many many ways...

I have several Bsp programs....but if it may help you...no one of them works with dark basic.... I prefer the x file converted to bsp with little program include in dark basic pro.

I can hep you with that: robertochafari@hotmail.com

oh my god

Where do you find a converter that will change things between a .x map and a bsp map file?
