whenever I turn on Dark Basic, the window is too big, how do I stop this from happening? Attached is an example picture:

Don't use the built-in editor - it's truly horrendous!

Use DarkEdit instead - it's a proper Windows editor and is supplied with Dark Basic - you just have to unzip it.

I've been using the built in editor for 2 years! I didn't realise you had to unzip it!

Thanks TDK

No problem.

Don't forget to go to the options and set the location of the file DB.EXE.

There's also an update you can download - v1.56 - though I'm not sure where it is... hang on, I'll take a quick look...

Nope - can't find it on here so I've attached a zip file of it.

Oooh that pic brings back bad memories. I used it for a week before I found DarkEdit and ordered DBpro 2 days later.

I think I remember reading somewhere, that that editor was suppose to give the feeling of the 8-bit programming scene? I don't know how, becuase I had never used any tools that looked like it. Except possibly, moviemaker for the Atari 800xl. Especially the graphic on the right side with the stars &wires wrapping around it, to make it look like a lab or something. ughhh.

What was Lee thinking?
