Ok, I think I might be doing this wrong. I've tried that thing where you go into internet explorer and type in your IP address and it takes you to this control panel, I've done this a couple years ago and it worked.

I'm not exactly sure if I'm doing this right or even if I'm on the right track, so I'm typing the IP into internet explorer's link bar (without http and everything) and all it's doing is putting it into a search.

I must've misread something somewhere, can anyone help?

http://www.portforward.com/

Go there find out what model type and version of router you have and that will help you out alot...

I have a Linksys WUSB11 but it doesn't have it on there. And it's version 2.8, am I supposed to google that or something?

Sure wouldn't hurt to try. And I just found your router on their website very quickly.

If I were you, I'd go buy a real router and not some router that connects through a USB 1 connection. And because of this, you can't connect to it through an IP address.

Page 16 of the User Guide begins describing how to configure the router on Windows XP.

Go into command prompt, enter 'ipconfig', and look for the gateway address. That's the address that you want to enter in a web browser.

Says who? I manage it fine.

First of all, I think I just looked at the wrong thing. (the link is just the adapter to connect to a wireless router)

And secondly, that part(IP from USB) hit me right after I posted. I'm too tired for computer crap right now.

that info is usually at the bottom of the router, at least for netgear products anyway.
