check if your SW synth is muted or at low output volume. That should help!

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120....

Windows Media Player has a habit of adjusting the MIDI output volume, so as Origin said check your settings.

What Firefox browser plugin are you using for MIDI?

I'm unique, just like everybody else.

Into your browser address buffer type: about:plugins

If you are using QuickTime (like most),
then look at the report and make sure that QuickTime is configured to play .mid files.

Yup... volumes are all topped off, using quicktime, its volume is up and the report says that MIDI playback is enabled... I have no idea why this isnt working... its always worked before, and the wierd part is that when i play em the progress bar moves like it IS playing but no sound comes out. and my other machine can play the same file from the web.

And yes, I have the playback device selected in the Sounds tab in the CP so dont ask me

upgrade quicktime perhaps if thats what your having problems with.
does this work? there a small pause at the start of this one.

one website mentions if 3d effect enabled is on they wont play, not sure about that.
