I use a hidden ball as a camera follower and it works fine over flat surfaces. I can get it to work well over undulating matrix surfaces.

Now I want to make the ball detect the steps and so move the camera up so following the ball. I have tried object position y(), but that didn't work. I played around with object collision, but didn't seem to work either.

So now I am up a gum tree!!

Any ideas out there please.??

Make a ramp, texture it black, set the object so black is gone, then tilt it and have sliding collision. This way your character just goes right up the ramp.
