Hi I am new to FPS Creator and 3D game programming,

So I don't know if anyone can help me, can you create your own 3D prefabs in FPS or do they need to be coded in say DarkBasic, or DarkBasicPro and then exported into FPS...or better still is there any books out there on FPS or FPS scripting...if its scripting what language is used for it?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Also can you create your own terrain before you enter say the large hanger pre-fab you get in the library...again any pointers would be really appreciated.

Cheers,
Paul.

Hello.

First of all, you don't code 3D models, you model them. Meaning no coding is required, just the right programs and some (visual) skills.
Scripting is used to create/activate certain action(s) and events specified in the script. For example all the AIs of enemies are script-controlled, and can be edited in any text editing program.

If I recall right, you can either model the segment first, then turn it into prefab, or use existing segments to create a map that'll work as a prefab. Just remember that using prefabs only may not be the best choise.
You can create your own terrain, but currently FPSC doesn't directly support or create bumpy terrain, so you have to model it yourself, and add it/them into FPSC as segment or static entity.

I'd suggest you to read the manual that came with FPSC (the .pdf one), and search the forums. Many of these things have been discussed to death, and I'm sure you'll find some help from the old posts.
