To refer to a comment on that page
Quote: "The problem for young Chinese males is a conspicuous absence of a similar number of young Chinese females."

I saw this thing on tv. There's clubs in Japan run by men (who call themselves 'hosts') where women can go to have fun, drink expensive alcohol and enjoy the company of the hosts.

Anyhoo, because some Japanese women don't feel comfortable acting all casual and sloshed around men they don't know there are also clubs which are set up in the same way but, get this, are run by women who have taken hormones to grow beards.

Oh, and getting back on topic. If it stops people blaming games on addicts deaths than I ain't complaining.

EDIT:: But this is a Chinese law, so the bearded Japanese women comment has even less point to it than it did in the first place, which wasn't much. I'll go now...........

That's the weirdest thing I've heard all week Soapy.

I read a similar article yesterday. Not too long ago, it seemed like someone was dying from a video game almost every week. Or what about the parents who stayed at an internet cafe so long that their baby died alone at home. In some cases I think these laws of limited game play are justified, since not everyone seems to be able to control themselves of the "gaming" addiction.

Star Craft I think. I think there was also an incident over some MMORPG in Korea where a guy knifed another guy for scamming him. The horror...

This is not surprising, coming from China, where they censor just about every form of entertainment and information.

Sounds like our far eastern friends are far too addicted, well hope it works and breaks their addictions, but I'm sure people will start to find way's around it, perhaps if they do use a clock system like on Animal Crossing, then I suppose it wouldn't be so easy to work around it.
