Those are just 2 links. I was thinking about whether or not this would be worth it to implement into a website. IT seems like a great idea, but seems like a whole lot extra to put in. Then again I haven't really looked a whole lot into yet.

What are you guys' thoughts?

So basically, any website that implements openID a user can then login to each one with the same account? Kind of like Microsofts Passport? I think many pron sites even use a similar system called adult verifier. (shush, i've read about it)

I think the idea is good for a webring or a group of sites with similar interests, but other than that I don't see the point. What benefits do you get using this system? What extra features will your website offer to these users? Whatever user system you create, I don't think I'd like the lack of control of who can log into the system. Unless I'm just misunderstanding the whole thing.

Its a good idea which is going to explode in the next few year.

I'd hold off implementing OpenID 1.0 and wait for 2.0 to come out - its gonna be MUCH better. It will allow for access control to your identification data.

Drupal is going to use OpenID as its core login system in a future release.

Hmm. I guess I'll wait it out then. I'd just figuered itd be great to put it in early rather than latter down the road. But it shouldn't hopefullt be that bad.

What do you mean 'Finally'?

Drupal 5.x introduced a brand new core theme, JQuery, Aggressive Caching and plenty more!

Drupal 6.x is gonna have a new menu system which isn't that exciting to people who use it on the surface, but its going to give approximately a 20% speed improvement. I'm not sure if OpenID is drupal 6 or 7....

Somebody apparently didn't pay attention in Literature class!

It's one of the those books that everyone has read at some point in the life, and they should.

Aww. I see now. I've never read that novel. Sorry to say. But I understand the "joke" now.
