OK now my final question for the model making. I have...( Ihave to stop making these lists lol )

1. Created the model in milkshape
2. textured the model in milkshape
3. converted the item to .x
4. created the entity with the entity creator

but now my problem is that the texture is not where it is supposed to be on the gun..not even close....I mean you can clearly see it's the right image but not in the right location on the gun..anyone experienced this before and know what to do?. Even if you never experienced it before I know you guys will know what to do

take a screenie of the gun in Milkshape, and a screeny of the texture editor window, with the uv map.

Then take a picture of the gun as it appears in FPSC.

I'm going to bed, but I gaurantee that if you post that, people will be able to help you.

It sounds like either, your UV map is wrong.. OR you are applying more than 1 material to the mesh before export. delete ALL materials except those that you are using, and clean up the mesh before you export it.

Without seeing the screenies I mentioned I can't help you further.

Oh and please post in JPG format!

These are the images of the gun i made you might see how they almost look opaque which I dont know if that is supposed to happen. Also one side is black...what's up with that?

whats with the wierd milkshape look and buttons???

anyways, here's some advice:

1. I think the faces on the black part of the gun are reversed (you can see 1 triangle near the bottom of the grip which is not reversed)
To change that, you need to select all the faces which are black and 'reverse vertex order' from the edit menu (I think)

2. I dont understand
Quote: "how they almost look opaque"
but if there is a problem with transparency, you can right click the viewport (where you see the complete 3D gun) and choose one of the transparency options.
