Well, Milkshape 3d is close enough to free (25$), if you don't already use it (Which you probably do).

Otherwise you need to get a .X importer to scale the model properly, and try to use Blender Armatures. Unfortunately, Armatures are bones meant specifically for movies, and I am not sure how they will turn out in a game.

The Person99 awards go to: 1. Jack the Ripper for hardest crime scenes. 2. Peter Petrelli for most powers. 3. Superman for longest flight.

thx for the offer but I would really like to learn to animate.

But one question: can a custom gun in fpsc have a texture for an arm and a gun? If it can; How do you get it to work?

Yep, sure it can. THat's what Modpak 5 uses.

Well, that depends on how well you understand animation and gunspecs.

I'd say your first time will be frustrating. But thats the case with anything.

I'd highly reccomend reading FredP's Milkshape tutorial. (just open fred's profile and search his posts), as well has getting manofart's tut on milkshape animation exporter. Search "wizard" to get a post by manofart, then get all his posts by opening his profile, THere's one call Milkshape export or something.

Other than that, there's not much more to say. Initally, I'd just copy the COlt45 folder, replace the HUD with your mesh, and work from there.

Peace

The tutorial is also in the stickies at the top of this forum.
Thanks for the plug.
My tutorial is a step by step process on how to animate a weapon for FPSC.
Someone else made a tutorial or two on how to import weapons into FPSC or you can use Weapon Creator to import your weapons into FPSC.
