Hey guys, I'm working on an online store that sells Xbox 360s and 360 games. I'm still working on it, so its pretty bare, but I'd like some comments on the design. http://www.360distraction.com/index.html
This is not an advertisement, it isn't even possible to order products yet. Please tell me what you think it needs (Or doesn't).
Thanks,
Torsten

Bah, i used to sell games once it's amazing how fast they drop in value.

Hopefully your site is just a big advert for someone else and you don't hold the stock.

As the 360 has now been cracked and there are illegal games out there I'd expect PS3 and Wii to produce better sales figures.

I have a wii store front on the amazon associate scheme:

http://www.ineedawii.com

I need to work on the advertising because I'm not getting much traffic, but there have been a few orders (The vistors:orders ratio is pretty spectacular ).

You should check out amazon - it's really easy to set up and customise a shop to sell anything.

There isn't really enough there to comment yet. You need some categories/subsections down the left hand edge really before we can see what navigation is really like.
The brown and orange colour scheme is unusual for a games site, which isn't a bad thing at all. There is lots of competition so having something different is good. Its a very basic and clean layout which is nice. You might consider changing the navigation at the very top (plain text on a white rectangular background) to some fancier images. You have the same text links at the bottom too so you can use images at the top and still regain accessability.

The only negative thing I can see is the "Here we have Xbox 360's and Xbox 360 games for sale at average or better prices". You need to be more self promoting than 'average or better prices'. Sell yourself! Change it to something like 'at great prices' or 'at tempting prices'. You also seem to be putting negative points about the games in their descriptions. If you really want to sell stuff rather than review stuff, emphasize their good points and leave it to the buyer to research whether a game has a good storyline or has long loading times.

I agree with pretty much everything Zappo just said. Also, the 360 Distraction text looks very grainy, I realize this is probably intentional, but it I think it should be clearer to look more professional.

Thanks for the comments guys. The drop shipper I was going to use raised the prices on all the games, so right now I'm stuck...If I pay $51 for a game that is $49.99, who will be making the money? Me, or the supplier? I have no idea why they did this, but I need to find a new supplier(Anyone know of a supplier in the US that has reasonable prices?)...
