Hello all! If you downloaded my other free sink model, delete it ! That last one I made has a higher polly count then this sleek sink model. I hope you all enjoy this one, Its one of the best models i've made so far. Enjoy!

BTW: I will be putting all my "Bathroom" models that I have into a free bathroom pack, I have re-textured and reduced polly counts for the ones I created over the last couple of days. If anyone would like to see additional bathroom themed items in the pack let me know.

THe scene looks really good. Very impressive. Especially like the paintings and the marble texture.

Now, I know the picture quality is reduced for the web, but the textures look a bit flat. Perhaps try adding some noise, and perhaps some shading (darker around the bottom and the cupboards etc). But straight up, it's good work. I'd use it.

If you send me the textures, I'd love to have a go at a grunge version!

Peace butters

That toilet comes in handy in my games, and I used it to showcase the bathroom look / scene. Im working on a bathroom segment to try to showcase everything. So back to the "Bathroom" theme, anyone have any suggestions for the pack?

Here are a couple of other view points for the model:

@Butter Fingers

Do you want the texture in PSD format?

I'd like some other toilet/bathroom themed things:
Bathtub w/ open curtain
Bathtub w/ closed curtain
Shower stall open
Shower stall closed
Toilet Paper roll
Toilet Paper roll empty (with no toilet paper on it)
Toilet paper (good for putting on floors)
Shredded toilet paper (good for putting on the floor)
Medicine cabinet
Medicine bottles, cans, etc.
Soap dispenser
Shampoo bottle
Towels
Box of tissue paper
Hand mirror
Lipstick
Cabinet open (with various bathroom items in it)
Cabinet closed
Paper cups
Rug
Paper towel dispenser

Now, this might seem a lot, but he asked for suggestions, and I gave him some. Besides, I need free bathroom-themed objects!

EDIT: And, if you can do segments, then I'd like some bathroom doors, walls, etc. Maybe have a mirror segment. I think someone made a mirror script. Keep up the good work, Saint!

I was actually working on the shower stale a few minutes ago! For your other idea's, I will try to have it all put together in about a week; I will use this forum to post status updates. The only model I think I can't get to work for you is the hand mirror; FPS doesnt allow mirrors from my experience but I could be wrong.

is it just that angle or does it get smaller towards the base. if so, then it kinda looks like a cocktail mixer
i like your sink very much and look forward to the release of this pack

The sad fact is that i can read script, but i just cant write it.

I made a mirror pack.The mirrors in FPSC do not relect anything, however.
Chupa Chubra made a toliet papaer holder (both full and empty) and a 4 pack of toilet papaer.
Somebody made a tube of toothpaste but I can't remember who it was.
I have made a can of deodorant and a can of shaving cream.
I have also made a towel and a towel holder.
Not to hijack the thread...just so you can concentrate on stuff that hasn't been made yet if you wish.
Of course,if you do make the stuff anyways I am sure it will be good.

Maybe we can make a community pack! If the aurthors of the models are willing to link the bathroom models, we can pack them all together to make a nice collection!

@DieRider

Just the angle . The texture wont be so bland, I just threw something on there so I wasnt working with a gray space .

Saint Areon- I think the label on the shampoo is a little bumpy looking. it should be a little, but thats too mush, it looks like someone crinkled it and put it back on.

and i left more details about the nightclub thing in your other thread like you told me too.

yo, sorry for late reply. Yeah, PSD would be good, if it still contains the UV data that'd be nice (the outlines). I know you're probably wary of sending the meshes themselves, but it would be helpful (I hate texturing when I can't preview the final look).

Anyway, looking forward to it!

Could you post the color as an image so I can use the droper tool in Photoshop.

@Cyber Lee

The pack will be $900.00 + .85% sales tax, then multiply it per designer's (1) and then times it all by 0 and there is your total cost.

In Photoshop, im using the Frosted Glass plug in for the door. How do I make it semi-transparent so that the interior of the stall can still be slightly visable with the door shut?

I think the snower nozzle is a little to steeply bent in the shower

this is one i made awhile ago.

The nozzle i made was based off the one in my home shower. if you want, i can give you the files and you can use it for your shower. i don't mind if you want it.

ok, the nozzle in the second one is better, I realise your reference image disagrees, but at the end of the day, the second one just looks better modelled!

Texture wise, here'e my opinion. The glass distort filter doesn't look great. It's too twisted. Try adding a plain tile texture, and tweaking it's brightness, contrast and colourbalance etc...

anyway, try this for your shower... (see attached)

With regards to making the frosted door semi seethrough, you need to go to the channels window in photoshop, and create a new channel. I'll be called alpha one. Think of it as another layer. You can paint in greyscale on the alpha layer. White will show up solid colour, and black transparent. SO. finish the texture, and copy the entire texture to the alpha channel. then make everthing except the door white. make the door a semi dark grey, but leave some of the frosted detail on there. If you need a hand, send it by and I'll shove you back an example PSD.

Shower Update using Butter fingers tiles:

@Butter fingers

The original texure was the mosic filter with light grout overlay. BTW the new tiles look excellent! I added a 2' o-clock light filter for the walls and a spotlit for the floor with a yellowish cast, used the texturizer and add sandstone @ 200% scalling with full detail, it looks sweet!

@Zaibatsu

Can you link me the file so I can import to replace the nozzle?

here you go. I added a label, and made the rest of the pill pot semi transparent. Check out the alpha channel in the channels window to see what I'm talking about. I also included an export settings JPG, to show you what settings you need if you are going to use the DirectX DDS plugin for photoshop.

@Butterfingers

Excellent tutorial and technique, I really appriate the help. Unfortenitly for me im using Photoshop 6.0, and the Direct X plugin is for 7.0 and up, im thinking about upgrading to CS-3 for 199.00, I hear its worth every penny. Do you know of any other software that can generate alpha maps for Direct X export?
