I want to make a horror survival game, but what engine should I use? (plz dont say fps creator lol) email me at chickendoughnut1209@gmail.com (my prof has jseavert@hotmail, but that is what we used to get fps creator) thanx

Step 1: Stop playing runescape.

It's really a personal preference and what kind of games are you wanting to make? If you are making an FPS game, then FPSC would be your best bet.
Otherwise, learn dark basic or some other language and make your own engine.

Or look for one online. Google is your friend.

oh there are lots of game engines, but tell us r u familiar with any programming, or do you want to make a game without programming.

Some I know is
Game Maker 2D
Multimedia Fusion2/Game Factory 2 2d3d/2d
3D CakeWalk
3D Rad
There are alot more look for Game Engines in wikipedia or answers.com theres a thread in the forums

If you're prepared for some programming, Dark Basic Pro is my recommendation. If you want 2D, commercial liscence for Games Factory 2 might be good. As said 3D Rad is another engine, but that seems weird to me, most engines require programming I'm afraid.

My advice is DON'T go with 3drad unless you want point and click. The engine was bought out a few years ago by 3Impact and they are now doing away with the old scripting versions of Rad. It's now becoming a completely or nearly point and click tool. It's disapointing, 3drad was a very friendly dev-tool not counting it's bugs and inadequacies. It had great potential.
