Hey all,

I was thinking about careers the other day and I was wondering if there are any good sites on the internet for careers guidance. I want to see what jobs suit me and also see what GSCE's / A levels I may require for some of my desirable jobs

Thanks in Advance,

Gamingc

If you know what course you wanna do, ucas.com is good for looking at Universities and course requirements. b-live.com is a good site too dare I say it, but I volunteered for them to start a bunch of kids onto their website, seems fairly useful.

give learn direct or connexions a call, they can give advise on stuff about jobs/courses/qualification needed.

either you want loads of money
or you want a job you love

you might get lucky and get both

Yeah, they have learn direct and connexions centers all over the place, there's Learn Direct is in our local library, so that's one sort of place to look.

Most schools have software packages for this where you basically enter in your actual GCSE grades / predicted grades and it'll try and find an appropiate career path. Alternatively, you can select a career path or job and it'll find the qualification that you tend to need.

Next time I'm on the school network, I'll get the names of a couple for you.
