Yes, I'm a confessed DarkBasic noobie

I've been gradually working my way through several of the tutorials in the forums that have helped immensely (especially RUCCUS easy to read tuts) in starting to learn the DB language, however, I haven't really found anything to help with HUD/Interfaces for 2D and 3D games.

Any links someone has bookmarked?

I don't know of anything, but it's fairly easy. First, load your image with "load image [filename],[image number]". Then make a sprite out of it with the command "sprite [sprite number], [x position], [y position], [image number]". There you go .

that works for 3d, and partly for 2d. just make sure in 2d that you move the hud around with your player.

You may want to check out some of the old newsletters. Issues 39 and 40 have a tutorial on HUDs which you may find useful.
