Ok,so I've been looking at a new computer recently, mostly so I can play oblivion(I have been waiting since morrowind...). Now,I want to know if these parts sound good:
The PC:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8297023&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat103700050060&id=1173577698068

The GPU:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8211286&type=product&id=1166235562616

And one question,is this memory considered RAM? :
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6578713&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01169&id=1077630669390

Because I wanna increase my ram by double so I can play Oblivion without much lag,and eventually halo 2 vista...and morrowind...and halo...yeah... So does this pc sound good enough for those games? In the summer after I save up enough I'm buying a 4.0 gpu and a physx card, with some extra memory(to max my ram to 2 gb if what I posted above really was ram...). So please respond Thanks

The memory is RAM, but that particular one isn't compatible with the motherboard you've chosen. Your motherboard supports DDR2, while the memory you linked to is DDR.

Honestly, you'd be better off custom building a pc. I know you may be a hardware n00b, as that is exactly what I am, but trust me, the whole custom pc building thing is so idiot proof ANYONE could do it. For instance, I have already picked all my parts off of NewEgg(which is the best site to buy pc parts on), and the rig Ive built is nothing to scoff at(DX10 card, dual core cpu, vista premium, and all under 1000 bucks!). Remember that by buying from best buy your getting stuff you don't really even need(IE bloat ware and the manufacturing cost for putting the together).

unfortunately my parents are ignorant and would probably say I'd break it,and in plus, what I'll be getting will be $711 and will be oblivion compatible I found out. So really I'm all set. I have a monitor I'll be using(mostly because if I buy one it'll be in the 800's,the whole thing that is).

I think that new memory will work better, but I'm also a noob, so don't trust me . I would definitely second what SageTech said though, I really know nothing about computer hardware at all, but I just built my own about 2 months ago and it worked without a hitch (and I know it a lot better than some manufactured rig).

And it lists a 400w PSU. I knew I was right at laughing at everyone who think they need 600+ power supplies.

First of all, if you buy an Emachine it'll turn into a door-stop within a year. Secondly, don't ever buy ram from BestBuy, they charge so much more its simply unbelievable they manage to sell any at all.

Dell actually has some real nice monitors. I've been seeing quite a few 22" with warranties on Ebay for good prices. I think Sony may actually make the monitors they use.

Yep, my old 20.3" LCD Dell 1600x1200 monitor is totally ace. Plus the 1920x1200 Dell laptop is crystal clear. Apparently Samsung panels, but hey...

Cheers

Ew, Best Buy + Prebuilt. The system is somewhat okay but ew. If your parents are forcing you to buy a prebuilt look into companies like

I can vouch for Ibuypower.com. I love my laptop from them. It's excellent. And got it for a good price too.

I have no signature...

I'm liking the cyberpower thing. So,I was looking at the radeon x1650 series, and does that let you hook your pc up to your tv? I want to do this cuz that would save me 150 something $,and my tv is actually good. So would I be able to do that?
