I met Michael Palin and Terry Pratchet at book signings.

I met and talked briefly with Brian May (Queen) at Heathrow Airport. Surprisingly nice guy.

As for well known game developers: I met Jon Ritman a few times had lunch with him once, even visited his house once too. Had a beer and a chat with Ian Livingstone once. Met and had a lengthy chat with both Darling brothers (Mastertronic/Codemasters). Met Julian and Nick Gollop (LaserSquad, Chaos, XCom) and got my copy of UFO autographed . Talked to Peter Molyneaux and Glenn Corpes (both Bullfrog founders) a couple of times.

All these things a fair few years ago...

I have vague plans for World Domination

Well for video game guys, I've met Don Mattrick in an elevator (his office was a floor above mine), a bunch of hockey players and coaches from the motion capture sessions, and Vin Diesel stopped by our dev offices in 2003.

Also, in March Satoru Iwata (Nintendo prez) came to work and gave a big conference speech. It was hilarious, and we were all given Nintendo cookies. I've taken a picture of one of mine (which I saved and stuck in the freezer)

I almost met some royalty, they were paying a visit to my town, but for some reason that lunch time I changed my mind about going to town for lunch...perhaps I shouldn't have.

When i used to live in South Africa, i met a "Gladiator"(i bet no one has heard of that) contestant nicknamed "The Giant". I dont know his real name though. I rule!

Eugene Levy, of American Pie. Was mid last summer, downtown, oldmontreal, at the Old Port. My manager and I asked him if he was who we thought. He confirmed he was and asked where's best to go for lunch.

I met William Shatner in Falmouth Mass when he was doing a summer stock play for just 1 or 2 weeks. I happened to be there opening night and they were having a cast party afterwards and the public was invited. Not sure of the year, around 1979 I think. I remember there were a bunch of people hanging around him but I didn't have to wait for more than about 5 minutes to get an autograph. Still have it!

We didn't exactly have a conversation though. I was 14 years old. There stood Captain Kirk, my hero. I was speechless. It was the only time in my life that happened to me...

I would have seen a lot of famous writers if I remembered that the Cambridge Writer's festival was the weekend just gone. Also, last Wednesdays, I stood 2 metres from the bassist from Porcupine Tree when I went to see them, that's pretty much meeting him.

I cooked and served T-bone steaks to Bob Hope on two separate nights in '84 (maybe '83... I think) during the Utah Open at Willow Creek Country Club. I cooked over 1200 t-bone steaks in those two days...

Stood in line waiting for a taxi outside of a hotel in Vancouver with Tim Matheson.

Rode the elevator down to the lobby with Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers) moments before waiting in line for a taxi with Tim Matheson.

Got a peck on the cheek from Barbara Mandrel after a concert.

I met Cinderella at Disneyworld!!!

All I can remember right now.

EDIT: Oh and met James Doohan, Brent Spiner and George Takai at trek conventions.

Oh and rode the ski lift up with Scott Hamilton at Snowbird, UT. Although I had no idea it was him until later.

Back when I was practicing Kung Fu, Robin Shou (from Mortal Kombat) came to our class to visit and promote his new film Red Trousers. We didn't get to spar with him though...
