As far as I understood, in DBPRO 6.6 the AT set of commands is included free of charge right? I did not found any reference of it in the helpfiles though. I downloaded an AT demo called LakeComp, it compiles fine, but also, I cannot find any help for the commands listed there in the sourcecode. While the commands themselves are very intuitive, a help or command reference would be very helpfull. Is there such a document available?

How do I create the detail texture that use with the command?

load image "detail.tga", 2

I have a heightmap and a texturemap, but the detail texture ... ? How do I generate that, for example with L3DT?

any texture that has some randomness in it could do.
It's up to you
You can take a grass or rocky texture and turn it to a greyscale tga
the detail texture doesn't have to be necessarily big since it's repeatedly tiled on the terrain.
just experiment

Ok, but if it's repeatedly tiled on the terrain than what use does this general texture has for example?

Ok, so how do I generate a detailed texture and a nomral texture? For example I have this texture of 256x256 of a desert region. This is a normal texturemap. How do I generate a detailed texture?
