Some people asked me if the light effects seen on our screens are faked or implemented with Photoshop AFTER taking the shots.

Nope, they aren`t, it`s simply the usage of decals created for specific light sources with an adapted version of the GIMP "Light Effects" routines.

Here you have the decal fitting perfectly to the wall light from WW2 stock media selection.

How to use:

1.Replace a shockwave decal dds you never use (or create a new decal entity with the shockwave settings) with the decal attached. (You know, gamecoredecals is the place to go)

2.Place it pixel-perfect in front of the WW2 wall light with NO space between the "shockwave" and the wall light. (will need some tries)

3. Place a yellow light with range 120 and a white light with R100 exactly in the same spot in front of both Wall Light & decal.

4. Enjoy!

Attachements:

decal.dds - the yellow-white light effect decal

It`s not a bug, it`s a feature

Worked perfectly.. Well took me awhile to install the decal (had a few issues with my machine). But once it was up only took a few tweaks and it looks sweet.

Good job.
