Well, it's been long promised. This pack contains 7 FPSC ready characters and 1 weapon, as well as over 10 destroyed wall entities.

Some of the stuff is still half WIP, especially with textures, but I doubt I'll ever finish it as I'm so under with Contrast. So here you go guys, enjoy!

IMPORTANT!! Post some feedback please. Theres ALOT of work gone into this, especially the unique dual chaingun on the mech and Loc's armoured drone. We'd really appreciate some comments, lets see if we can't turn this thread red!

And secondly, post a screeny of some of this media in your game for a chance to win LYTE:FX V2, simply post a screenie of your game featuring something in this pack along with your feedback, and the best entry by May 31st wins LYTE:FX V2!*

i am running v105rc2.i don't have time right now to look in to it more i have to go out.i just wanted to give you a heads up.i will have to have a better look at it after to see what is going on.

OK, to sort this out, can people Please post
1) their computer specs - esp their Graphics card
2) their FPSC version
3) if its working or not!

I'm having no trouble in V1.04, or V1, I have an ATi Radeon.

EDIT

Domray, whats odd is that the Armoured Drone in your first shot is from Loc, and therefore got exported from Max, not milkshape or maya. I'm thinking this could be an issue with the DBOs or graphics card.

POSSIBLE FIX: Delete all the DBO and Bin files from the entity bank of the pack. it could be that there are some V1 DBOs in there that are messing up in the update

(whoever said they've seen this bug with milkshape export - it's similar, but that happens when you export whilst in animation mode, that isn't the issue though, as the advert I posted at the start is all taken from ingame shots i.e. no deform

Yeah Dom...some more info would would be great. The image with odd geometry looks green.....Was that The drone or the Shock trooper? Wondering cause thers no green tones in the texture.

Guess I should actually download the pack and take a look...

Ok, This is what I've found so far.

-No problem with the Armored Drone.
-The odd geometry comes from the troopers, but I didn't see it until I turned off shaders
-The entry Bot sinks through the floor and dances when you get close.
-Deleting the bin's and dbo's caused the troopers and aliens to error when placing them in the editor.

Did not work

The Aliens looked like weird stretched blobs, and the same for the troopers.
The robot just stood there looking at me.

I'm running V1, on a laptop with an integrated intel graphics card *cough*terrible*cough*.

Hey, DOMRAY, I know you're trying to help, but what does it say in the licence.

"You may not re-distribute any media contained in this pack unless it is part of
a compiled FPSC project. IE, you may not host it for download anywhere."

So, like, that texture you've just uploaded there. Please delete it. or a mod delete that post.

OK well glad to know the Drone is good to go for people. It's actually a completely different mesh. As Id' removed and added polys to Butters original and completely remapped it for my style of texturing.

Butters one thing I will note, this happens to 3dmax too if all the bones aren't hidden before export(meaning the main com1 bone that resides in the pelvis). Max has 2 ways of hiding objects/bones and S4 and I cussed each other back and forth for a wile till we figured out different graphics cards react to different hiding methods different. The methods I'm describing have helped others doing character work like Chupa Cabra. Not sure if that makes sense in Milkshape or not.

PS: Having problems with a release is one way to make the thread go red.

EDIT: Yeah I have the same problem.

Hi,

those models are great! Nice work!

But I've got a problem: The drone doesn't attack. It has the right skript, I think (armoureddrone.fpi)...

Can you help me?

Btw: I've got the same problem like Domray...

That is so true.

Or alternatively, make a totally nooby question that doesn't go against the rules. Instant-flamewar, Instant-red.

Well, I'm downloading now, so I'll upload any problems I get.

This pack looks incredible, by the way.

EDIT

Well, As with the others, the armour drone works fine. The original alien mesh goes crazy, and expands all over the place, which moves when I looks around. Quite Strange. When I tried the sentry bot, I couldn't even test. The screen was just black, and I had 0 FPS.

I have a GeForce FX 5200 Graphics Card and 512 Mb RAM.

Butter fingers, can you make mosters like as in half-life? Not zombies, but creeps that eat or jump on people and take them over and do mind control and stuff. Cause "just" aliens isn't as scarry as that.

nice creatures and stuff, but everyone stands still and locrian's character is the only one who stands on the ground.
(attached image not an entry)
my specs anthlon 64 X2 4800 2.51GHZ 2GB ram Nvidia 7900 gs ko using v1.04 deleting the DBO and BIN files makes the editor crash.
in the editor if you press enter all the character sink under the floor so it might be something with the y axis

The first pic is two of the characters. The second is the alien alone. that one worked ok except he stood still. The third is your alien with the other alien all is weirded out.
