Yeah, I have... lets see... In the past month I have bought myself the following:

Vox Valvetronix 50 watt guitar amp
A Casio keyboard for me and my sister
22" Viewsonic LCD widescreen monitor
Epson scanner
Logitech Webcam

For me, that's alot of money, adds up to around $900 US
Once I get some rebates from the monitor and the scanner It'll be around $800 but for one month I think I spoiled myself enough >_<

So, what are some cool things you have bought yourself lately?

I brought the 8GB sansa e280 and some sennheiser earphones. Wasn't too expensive because I got pretty good deals off amazon

Didn't spoil myself too much but:

Recently (within the last month):

1)Purchased/Registered Milkshape $35.00

2)M-Audio USB Fastrack $89.00

(So I can use my laptop as a guitar recording studio. Not bad considering self contained units start around $300.00 and are limited in the # of tracks)

3)Purchased BlueGUI $20.00

4)Hard-cover text "Artificial Intlligence For Games" : Series in interactive 3D technology : by Ian Millington $69.95

-------------
Total = $213.95

I bought a flat in Cyprus

Techy wise I have been a bit weak this year, with only really a DS and a phone this year I'm practicing the IT equivelent of yoga. ie. don't buy everything as soon as it comes out like I normally do.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

I bought two tubes of Pringles Gourmet on a BOGOF deal in Tesco's. What a rip off. Taste the same as normal Pringles.

Oh yeah, also spent over £10K on a new car. Run of the mill Vauxhall Corsa.

Also splashed out on a Topfield Freeview box, dual tuner, 250GB hard disk. Great bit of kit. You can even upload new programs to it to enhance the functionality.

I have spoiled myself a bit lately I guess. Bought a new Suit yesterday, 4 ties, a new snowboard, some weights, a book on Ogre 3D and another on C++. I think I am done spending for awhile. I also bought some new Blue Moon Spring Ale

The latest Techy stuff I have bought was a new video card (X800 GTO) and Treemagik. I will probably buy plantlife and some other things shortly.

Umm. £20 on a signed single of Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs. I wouldn't normally buy something I already have just because it's signed but they're just do damn good.

Oh and Arctic Monkey's new album, which was a bit of a let down.

Oh, yeah, I've spoiled to heck out of myself....

Let's see, I've bought lunch quite a few times this month instead of free food from the cafeteria(So I could play games), and I did buy some mints, and stuff like that.

Yup, that's about it for this month.

I bought a Samsung CLP-300 mini colour laser.

Mainly coz I had 100 page assignments to print and my b/w jobby had run out of tonner and a new tonner cost more than the b/w jobby did!

Highly recommend, go get one!

I recently got a laser printer, no toner left, so I grabbed some refill bottles - I print quite a lot, but for my £14 refill kit and £30 laser printer, I'll get about 20,000 pages.

Looks like a pretty neat little printer though, the colour lasers we have here use traditional style toner, like a stack of 4, and they are damn expensive, like £100 per colour!.

Probably the most recent treat has been the 360, but I also got the LOST hatch toy from MacFarlane Toys, It's totally mature and an acceptable purchase for a 32 year old - it even lights up!.
http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MF15309#LargeImage

Gonna be spending a dose of money in the next couple of months, thinking a new 22'' widescreen TFT, processor, case, HDD etc to go with the mobo and 7950GX2 I won in the compo. Probably end up spending £600 or so before July.
Ohh, and a projector, probably round about July time too.

Yeah these little pots just contain toner powder. There is no oil roller and so they cost about half price RRP £33ish but you can pick em up for £24 if you shop around, genuine samsung brand too.

http://www.euroffice.co.uk/toner_cartridge_page.asp

It's no wonder it's won a heap of envionmentaly freindly and design awards.

I had an Epson Inkjet once and even though I wanted colour bad style I didn't want to go back to the ink jet hell of cleaning print heads and ink lasting 5 minutes

The only thing I hate about the CLP-300 is that the paper tray is a bit flimsy and open to the air and dust. I'd rather have a proper paper draw

Just checked, it's a Samsung ML-1610 I've got, pretty decent printers are Samsung . Inkjets are dodgy as hell, I mean a lot of manufacturers have auto-break components and software so your printer lasts about 3 days after the warranty. A lot of them simply reset the printer once you send it to them, most of the time there's nothing actually wrong!.

It makes sense to spend decent money on a printer (or at least get a laser printer for heavy work). I mean the colour lasers at work actually save us a fortune in inkjet ink.

Well you should love it, Vox is a good brand. I like it alot, however it does take up a great amount of space and i used too much money on it so i didn't get to buy a pedal of any sort, therefore i can't really use it to it's fullest potensial (yet).

If you have a pedal (or several), then i would please like to hear some advice from you before bying anything in that department.

Tablets rock. I would like one with a higher resolution, because my drawings edges are a little choppy, I have the 4x6 wacom graphire 4, so it's pretty low end. But drawing is lots easier now.

@Grandma, no sorry, I don't have any pedals. I was thinking of getting a Boss MetalZone, but my brother said that I could get alot better for my money. I dunno though, the Boss pedal sounds nice. My cousin has it and I really liked the tones it got. I guess the best thing to do is find a Guitar Center and play with them all until you find one you like.

A Pair of 22" samsung displays running at 1650x1080. Heaven... I'm in heaven!!! No task switching just to see the help files anymore!!! I got them at Christmas for $350 each.

Most recently, I bought a new helmet and rims for mt ATV. My old rims were so dinged up, they werent holding air very well.

Also have my eye on a new color GPS from Delorme. I believe its the first color GPS to come into a price range I can afford.

yeah, i've played them for a little over a year.

i can't stand pearl (but that might be because i've never played a higher end kit of theirs)... currently i have a old bottom of the line mapex set that is my brothers, he is in a different state so it's basically mine for now.

Quote: "dont like pdp much, i suggest the Pearl EX series, good drum set"

I'm not really sure about pdp either (the worst part is the ugly logo... if i got that set i would replace the back head on the base drum for sure (to get rid of the logo heh).

i am also looking at Taye, Sonor, and Mapex (a pro m possibily)... but i haven't even asked my drum teacher about the different sets yet. (and no offense to ya'll, but i would trust him over all ya'll put together, he's pretty experienced + good). anyway, i will at least look into pearl/the pearl ex set.
