anybody know of any...? READ ALL
I'm looking at having to use POV-ray, HOWEVER the method it uses to setup the scene, objects, lights, etc. is rather daunting. Scene Description or something like that.
Anyways I've been looking for something that isn't text based, something where I can set everyhting up with buttons and menu options... stuff like that... USER-friendly so to speak. But if not I'll learn it and work it out the hard way.
pref. freeware by the way... I'm poor as a brick. (brick? I must be stupid) Thanx

It's only a sin if you get caught doing it...

Try Blender, while I have no experience using it, it can do raytrace rendering.

Blender + Yayfray is a recommended combination.

Yea, blender has it's own internal renderer, and easy use of the yafray renderer.
It also has scripts you can download to export to POV-ray, Indigo, and Kerkythea...

All of which are free by the way

I used to use Pov-ray a long time ago. Back then there was a front end modeler called Povsb. I just looked around and didn't find povsb, but there is another one called Moray - http://www.stmuc.com/moray/.

Eh, my brother does all our 3d modeling anyway. He uses blender.
