Newcomers DBPro Corner / L3DT and DBPRO problem?

I have generated an heightmap and texturemap in L3DT. In the program's viewer, the terrain looks different than it should look in DBPRO. How do I stop the unendlessness of the terrain and the weird polygons? Here is a demo file attached.

turn your heightmaps to truecolor grayscale. L3DT saves 256 bit grayscale that doesn't work with DBP AT.
you can do it in Paint Shop Pro or any image editor i believe.
