Well, I tried to test a model from FPSC Model Pack 6 using the animation template and fpe file as a reference.

The model moves and animates, all right, but it looks like he just had 30 cups of coffee.

How can I fix this?

That and sometimes the FPS affects things.

You could better make it Framrate Based.Then it doesnt matter whatever the FPS is,it will keep running properly.
