Could it be that one has to be exposed to the T-Virus directly to turn into a Zombie? I don't know...

Most probably it's just a case of "if the hero can turn we need to leave lots of antidotes lying around and that throws the game balance off".

I have vague plans for World Domination

haven't played RE for a while, but weren't they actually not true zombies? They were people/creatures who were infected with the T-virus. Maybe the T-virus doesn't transmit through saliva, like the Romero zombie virus does.

It's only in the movie when a bite will turn you into a Zombie with out dying...Don't you have to be dead to be Zombie? As you don't see your character after you die, you don't know whether or not they turn into a zombie.

Its possible that they turn when they die, but something happens, after a few bites, you become slower. I know it could be from injury, but I always liked to think leon or claire was turning.

oh yea, i won't spoil it for those who haven't played it but i will just say this: Dead Rising.

I love Dead Rising (as well as the RE games obviously), the actual gameplay is completely centered around ways to kill a zombie, if there was a multiplayer mode then it would be THE killer title for Live. Imagine playing with even just a handful of mates, against all those zombies, that would be one helluva reason to subscribe to live.

@David iz cool -
Is taina a character in Resident Evil? Did you rescue her from zombies and she told you she loves you? Don't fall for it, taina is a zombie too.

Oh, and you're a dork

Hey just throwing this out there. If you killed a bunch of zombies to save you and your friends at the end of it all could you be prosecuted for murder?

Congrats for being the first zombie on the forums.... unless.....

you're all zombies.... or I'm a zombie.....

What we need is a console game akin to the good old zombies vs solders. Of course, it would be multiplayer.

Thank you, i'm quite happy about being the first. A zombie game hmmm..that sounds familiar . I'm still looking at that dream through a pipe. I'll do it eventually and you'll be all like, whoa that undead dude really learned something.

if you play through Resident Evil (Remake GC) and Resident Evil Zero, both explain how the T/V-Virii work.
Basics of it is, what they initially created and is released you must die soon after infection. Otherwise the bodies immune system kicks in an kills the virus as they are very weak variations used for testing purposes. When they move forward with the G-Virus, which is based on the Las Plagras to create the mutating "Nemesis" symbiot that is when the virus is then capable of surviving against the hosts immune system.

T/V-Virii are based on the common cold, the G-Virus is a retro/symbiot.
There's craploads of the documentation in both GC-only titles that delves extremely deeply into the history of the virus and the outbreaks.
